Q: Why should I use a wood bat?

A: The best hitters train with wood, it’s the best way to learn the proper swing techniques.  The MetalWood Bat does not reward mistakes or bad swings and forces you to improve your hand-eye coordination.  The MetalWood Bat will teach you how to throw the barrel through the hitting area instead of dragging it through as you would with an aluminum bat.

Q: Is The MetalWood Bat considered a wood bat?

A: The original MetalWood Bat performs exactly like a wood bat according to the University of Massachusetts Lowell Study.  Many all-wood leagues and tournaments are now using The MetalWood Bat. For more information on specific association classifications, please see our list or send your questions to info@metalwoodbats.com.

Q: What happens if I hit the ball off the rubber sleeve?

A: The rubber sleeve reacts much like a wood handle, it is a deadening rubber material that will not cause the ball to spin differently. 

Q: What happens if I hit the ball off the handle?

A: First, unlike all wooden bats, our bat will not break.  Second, unlike aluminum bats, you will not get a home run, or even a great hit.  That’s the truth of hitting with wood, and the value of using The MetalWood Bat.

Q: What are the weight ratios of the bats?

A: The adult baseball bats range between -2 and -3.  The youth bat has a range between   -5 and -7.  The softball bat has approximately a -5 ratio.

Q: Why do I need to register my bat?

A: We advise our customers to register their bat so you can be sure to be covered under our sixty day (60) warranty and so you can take advantage of the reconditioning offer for your bat.  

Q: What is The MetalWood Bat warranty?
A: All MetalWood Bats come with a sixty (60) day warranty.  The warranty entitles any bat owner to the replacement or repair of their MetalWood Bat if it should break or otherwise suffer damage under normal batting conditions.  Misuse or abuse to the wood barrel is not covered. Abusive activity includes, but is not limited to, any activity other than practicing or playing with the bat.   

Q: What is bat Reconditioning?

A: MetalWood Bats offers a reconditioning service for your MetalWood Bat for only $50.  If you send us your bat, we will replace the barrel and provide you with a new grip and return it to you as good as new. We are the only wooden bat with this offer!
