The ongoing debate over the relative safety  of high performance aluminum bats compared to traditional wood bats has become more intense.  Leagues, legislatives and the NCAA are now fully involved all across the country.  Metal Wood Bats believes it is important that our customers and players understand two key points that are tangential but important in this debate:

1. Aluminum baseball bats by design have a large sweet spot and often impart more speed and yield more fast, long drives than traditional wood bats.  However, practice and training with a Metalwood Bat which acts, in all respects, like a traditional wood bat, can improve game time hitting performance using an aluminum bat.

2. To the extent "practice and training" involve use of the Metalwood Bat, any safety benefits attributed to "wood" bats will be realized.

3. MetalWood Bats, compared to other wood bats, have an excellent record of maintaining integrity even in unlikely circumstances where cracks appear in our laminated wood structure.  Thus, the possibility of injury from splintered fragments becoming dangerous projectiles often seen in major or minor league play with all wood bats is unlikely.

In Summary, MetalWood Bats can well serve game players using either wood or aluminum, at all stages of hitting development with unrivaled durability and longevity of use, all at a price - performance point that is reminiscent of the 1950s and 1960s.
